I am curious to know on what basis was your case approved? maybe it was USCIS mistake? Like I wrote before we sent my case twice with the bright colored paper and to a supervisor and twice they said it had the incorrect fees (originally) and then that there where no numbers available and to wait to PD to be current.
What I heard is that only if THEY make a mistake the 485 gets approved. Also if the check bounces, other than that I have been there and done that and nothing.

What are you saying? Health Services dismal? I thought it was better than US in many aspects. The cost is cheap for treatment (unless you have some uncommon disease. Since the system is churning up so many doctors, there is a lot of competition. Even in small villages you will find many doctors competing for patients. Maybe that is not true for everywhere, but that is what I have seen in my home state Haryana.
Also the education system may not be perfect, but kids don't have to go to private schools, because public schools have run out of capacity. There are problems like not all-around development, and not all kids doing great in studies. But that is true even in US, unless you are sending your kids to a fine private school (which by the way you can do in India, if you have money). JMHO

China moved down due to corruption etc. India moved up but any further movement will depend on structural reforms, especially controlling the huge public service and red-tape and a creaking infrastructure - power, roads, ports, water supply - all of which are run by the government. The health services in large parts of India is dismal and so is the public education system (K-12). With the left firmly controlling the ruling party, deregulation is slow and insipid, and it is the private sector which is basically contributing to the GDP and Competitiveness. I did try to get into it so that i can start an effort to file a lawsuit but it seems after spending couple of hundread dollars to talk to lawyers I came across that federal courts have no power to do anything against USCIS if it is ineffeciency due to beurocracy delays.
So Technically you can file a lawsuit even as an individual but then Federal Court wont be able to held USCIS accountable as USCIS will give excuse as beurocracy delays and lack of resources and that lands on Congress so Federal court will have to get Congress involved.
Very Sad ... but its true ... this is a clean example how unfair this country is and it still preaches other countries on this planet about liberty, justice blah blah ...

I don't think its a good time to change jobs. There are many who are looking for a job after getting laid off. I think till the 2nd quarter of 2010 just keep your job. I may be wrong too.
the best thing is to keep a open eye all the time and whenever there is a opening in any big project with a good pay hike then move.
If you have EAD then you don't have to worry about H1B transfer.

Our segment was about 40 minutes in. My web streamer won't allow fast forward, don't know if limitation is the client or the server. Robert and Ron go through the standard Pro / Anti H1B arguments for the first 40 minutes. I didn't want to be part of that.
I hate listening to my own voice, thanks for the complements, it will make listening to my own voice less cringing.

Did any one heard of EB3 India 485 Approved after June 26? Looks like EB3 visa numbers for this quarter for India is exhausted! If so then who many will be available in next quarter?

AFAIK, your visa status will not affect day-trading. You just need to specify the gain/loss when you file taxes (like anyone).
That said, I believe you are aware of the requirement that you need to have a minimum of $25K in your account to do day-trading. And also the risks involved in it.
My 2c as some one who tried it, play only with money you can afford to loose (as you WILL most of the time) and get out if you have to, without emotional attachment.
Have fun and BE SAFE!!!

Is the PD for AOS same than Consular Processing??
I'm asking because is supposed that they assign visas per country or not assign but is a limit of maximum 7% (I believe) of the visas per country.
So, if a person in EB3 with PD of July 2005 ROW (Rest of the World) applied for AOS in June 2007 and the USCIS approved the Green Card, why is that?
The PD is not current for EB3 ROW so, why the approved?
Is because the unused visas of the country was not completely used for consular processing and then the USCIS is using those visas for the same country but for AOS?

Hi Michael, nice shots. It's easy to see that you brought the discipline and hard work of your nature work to the studio. What was your lighting setup? Flash? strobes? How many and what positions? and how did you go about metering? They're very beautiful but just a little flat. Shadows add depth and will make the flowers pop out more. How's that for a vague concept? :) But if you have the ability to reposition the light(s) you should get some very different and interesting results. adjust to taste. shadows are good in many situations. 3) did not ask for W2's or pay stubs
4) of course original medicals in closed envelope
5) all previous H4 approvals + I94's and color photocopy of entire passport
6) photos and required cheque's

Yes, its good to file I-134 especially when she is on H4. Paystubs and tax returns are not required documents though a lot of people tend to submit them. Just an employment letter from your employer would suffice. You dont need to include your I-20 with your wife's application....However, do include her medicals, though its not part of the initial evidence......

Let me simplify the EB backlog equation:
EB backlog as of Oct31 = 655K�(average lead time for FB approval)x50K/month+50KEB in Oct
Do the simple math, we can get the following table:
Average time for FB approval EB backlog
5month 455K
6month 405K
7month 355K
8month 305K
9month 255K
10month 205K
It is safe to say notice date in Sept equal to receipting by USCIS in Sept, because at notice date, USCIS actually open your file then send receipt.
So,from , EB receipt in Sept vs. receipt in Oct = 2:1
150k in Sept. include both EB(100K) and FB (50K).
(Note: assume received FB every month 50K. 50K is a reasonable assumption,
otherwise it's no way for USCIS to approve 800K AOS a year.)
Since EB in Sept vs. Oct is 2:1, so total EB receipting in Oct. should be 50K.
Out of the 655k total, the key is lead time for FB approval, how many month?
